Thomas E. Heiser

Tom Heiser has been providing management and consulting services for more than two decades. Throughout his career he has demonstrated an ability to understand the unique business needs of smaller organization, enabling him to develop sensible and sound human resource strategies and processes for several such organizations, spanning a wide a range of industries.

As both a consultant and in-house human resources executive, Tom has initiated and implemented several successful projects. He has developed market-driven compensation programs that are easily administered, improve employee morale, and are responsive to changing business needs. One example of this is an incentive program for sales personnel of a computer distributor. Tom has also recommended and implemented changes to employee benefit programs for several organizations balancing employee needs with cost control requirements. These program changes have also resulted in more efficient administration and increased compliance. Tom has designed and written numerous employee manuals and has successfully met challenging staffing needs of his employers and clients, including a start-up operation that required staffing a 150-employee operation within 60 days. In the five years prior to joining Mirrus Business Advisors, Tom had his own successful consulting company. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries including professional services firms, distributors, retailers, and manufacturers. In 1990, Tom was hired as Wright, Robinson, Osthimer & Tatum’s first human resources director. Prior to Wright Robinson, he was the Director of Employee Relations & Development for a national computer company with several hundred employees.

Tom received his Bachelor of Science in 1977 from the School of Business at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
